Put the antlers aside (they will be sewn later).

CHEST HAIR:

Cut pieces of thread of light brown and cream color yarn and tie on the chest. All along the

neck in every stitch. Then, make a triangular frame knotting the thread on the front part of the

body. Also knot thread inside the surface of the triangle, but only in every 2 or 3 stitches apart.

You can also use a brighter color. Finally, cut and comb the thread with an animal brush.

BLANKET:

Green and red thread.

The edge is crocheted with two rounds. Single crochet in all the edge and in the corners: (sc,

dc, sc) in one stitch.

HARNESS:

Collar and chest strap:

Red thread.

Place the collar and the chest strap on the reindeer (don’t sew yet). Leave the end in one side

of the head (see picture). Secure the connection between both straps in the neck part. All the

pieces are placed in a way that can be removed again later, so don’t pass the needles trough

the body of the reindeer.

EYELETS (make 5):

Yellow thread.

Round 1: chain 2, 6sc on the second chain from hook or 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

Finish with a slip stitch, leave a tail for sewing.

ROPE FOR THE COLLAR:

Dark brown thread. Make a chain of 200 stitches. You can make it larger or shorter.

Two of the eyelets are sewn at the ends of the rope.

ROPE FOR THE CHEST STRAP (make 2):

Dark brown thread. Make a chain of 60 stitches. You can make it larger or shorter.

Sew on eyelet in one end of the rope.

The fifth eyelet is placed to the front of the collar.

The two eyelets of the rope of the collar are placed on both sides of the neckband. And the

two eyelets of the rope of the chest strap are attached to the chest strap.

Then remove carefully all the piece from the reindeers body. Sew the eyelets in place. Insert a

thread through the eyelet at the front of the collar so you can join a jingle bell.

Place all the harness in place and secure with a few stitches. Caution, the blanket must be

placed under the chest strap before sewing.

BUCKLES (make 2):

Yellow thread. Make a chain of 15 stitches leaving a thread at the beginning and a long thread

at the end.

Attach to the seam of the belt. Place in the middle, then the two ends are bended downwards

and the chain is sewn.

The remaining thread is punched through the protruding part of the belt and make a loop that

touches the chain (this will be the prong of the buckle).

Then guide the thread downwards and make three loops around the belt.

Repeat the same process on the collar.

Now you can sew the antlers to the reindeer.

SLEIGH

GROUND:

Red and dark brown thread (color change).

Row 1: chain 31, on the second chain from hook:

100 Rows of : sc in each stitch, ch, turn (30)

Change to dark brown thread:

50 Rows of: sc in each stitch, ch, turn (30)

Fasten off.

The ground is folded in two parts and sewn along the color change. Then, cut a piece of

cardboard with the size of the brown area:

Row 1: Crochet all the edge of the ground with yellow yarn on the three open sides. In the first

row, make 3 sc in each stitch of the corner. Insert the cardboard when you arrive at the third

edge.

Row 2: make a chain loop, turn the ground and make a sc round back.

Row 3: work only on back loops.

Row 4: make another row of sc.

SIDE PART (make 2):

Sew the back part on the yellow edge. You can sew through the cardboard for more stable.

Then the sides. It’s better to leave the front part free until both sides are sewn. Then bend the

The 6 pieces are sewn on part 1 (3 on each part). From the wide end at the following intervals:

Sew both runners at the bottom of the sleigh. The long thin end points to the front part of the

sleigh. The brown area of the ground is used for orientation.

STRUTS (make 2):

Fasten off. Leave a tail for sewing.

The struts are sewn centrally on the short straps (part 2). This way the runners don’t bend

outwards.

Bend the front part of the runner (part 1) and fix with needles on the carriage.

FRONT STRUT:

Fasten off. Leave a tail for sewing.

The front strut is sewn between the runners at the front part of the sleigh.

Then the thin ends are bend forward and the runners are fixed to the front of the sleigh with a

few stitches.

DECORATIVE BALL (make 2):

Round 1: chain 2, 6sc on the second chain from hook or 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

Rounds 3 to 5: sc in each stitch around (12)

Sew both decorative balls in the corner of the back rest.

CARPET (make 2):

Green color.

Row 1: chain 21, on the second chain from hook:

Rows 2 to 11: sc in each stitch, ch, turn (20)

Fasten off.

Knot thread in one side of the carpet as fringes and cut them. Sew both finished carpets on the

sleigh. Finally, add the bell to the front strut.
