Recently, most crocheted toys are made using the Japanese weaving technique – amigurumi. They are not only trendy, but also stunningly beautiful, attracting the attention of everyone around.
Amigurumi dogs are especially popular, and with proper skill, they turn out to be incredibly realistic and are in no way inferior, if not even superior in quality, to toys from the oil-st-market. In addition, given the fact that each craftswoman can decorate such dogs at her own discretion, we can safely say that there are no identical toys twice, which means that the dog you knitted will be truly unique!
Let’s start knitting our long-legged dog Pool! By following the exact knitting instructions given below, you will have an amazing almost 40 cm toy.
Designations:
CH – air loop;
SC – single crochet;
PS – half-column;
PSN – half-column with a crochet;
SL-STH – double crochet;
İNCIBAV. – inc from 2 SC in one loop İNC (inc of the next row);
REDUCED. – decrease from 2 SC into one loop İNC;
SL-ST – connection column.

If desired, Pool can be decorated with an openwork heart, bright buttons for the development of children’s motor skills, an embroidered name, or even dressed in a crocheted blouse and skirt. In general, it all depends on your imagination and desire. Moreover, on the basis of the specified master class, you can knit not only a dog, you just need to slightly change the ears and muzzle, as well as the color of the toy – and you get a great bunny, fox or bear!
